A former Ghanaian diplomat Edward Boateng, has been appointed by President Akufo-Addo as the director general of the State Interest and Governance Authority (SIGA).

Mr. Boateng who serveds the 15th ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the People’s Republic of China with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Mongolia and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is taking over from Stephen Asamoah Boateng.

Mr. Asamoa Boateng recently resigned to contest for the chairmanship position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).Mr. Edward Boateng’s appointment takes effect from the 18th of December 2021.
