The Member of Parliament for Techiman South constituency Hon Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah over the weekend continued the commissioning of various water projects in communities which for years had struggled for portable drinking water.
The project, which is being undertaken in over 17 communities is expected to bring huge relief to people in the beneficiary communities since it’s been their main challenge for years.
The commissioning saw the MP officially opening water taps in communities like Anomatoa, Ampimkrom, Fiaso among others.
Speaking to Link News, the Member of Parliament who also doubles as the Deputy Minister for Local Government Decentralization and Rural Development noted that access to portable drinking water by the people is his priority hence the investment.
According to him, the water project is in phases with 17 communities benefiting from the first phase.
The second phase which is expected to commence soon will also target 20 communities within the Techiman South Constituency.
Nine months into office as the Member of Parliament, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah is already impacting the lives of his constituents through the provision of hundreds of bags of fertilizers to farmers, construction of a 1,000-seater spectator stand underway at the Techiman Ohene Ameyaw Park to enhance sports development as well as disbursement of interest-free loans to hundreds of market women and men within the constituency.
