The Techiman South Member of Parliament (MP), Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah is set to provide GHc1 million to traders within his constituency under his flagship initiative support ‘MIKAM Foundation.’
The good gesture of Hon. Adjei-Mensah Korsah is part of his efforts to elevate the plight of traders in the constituency and is being supported by Techiman Cathedral BACCSOD Society as the financial institution responsible for the stress-free disbursements.
This support Program is designed to support small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) and traders adjust to the new normal in these turbulent era of the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic.
Founder of the Foundation and MP for Techiman South, Hon. Adjei-Mensah Korsah said “The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered unprecedented challenges for everyone especially traders, with severe decline in their business revenue threatening the sustainability of many businesses”, hence this initiative to stimulate growth in the informal sector of the Techiman South Constituency.
Below are some other social interventions undertaken by Mikam Foundation;
- Distribution of second-hand clothing (foose-bail) worth to GH¢1,500.00 each to some traders within the Techiman municipality.
- Support to over 5000 widowers.
- Teachers’ Award Scheme in the Techiman Municipality.
- Constructed 8-boreholes in eight communities.
