The Atebubu Amantin Municipal Police Command of the Bono East region have managed to arrest three suspected Kidnapers from their hide out.

The Suspects are Ibrahim Amidu (27 years) who is fulani herdsmen, Abubakari Mohammed (32 years) From Techiman and Yussif Ali (23 years) who is also a fulani herdsmen.

Briefing the Press on the arrest, the Atebubu Amantin Municipal Police Commander Chief Supt. Bright Boafo stated that on the 11th July, 2021 the victim Mohammed Osman (18yrs) a Fulani nomadic came to Atebubu Police Station to lodge a complained that he was kidnapped from a town called Bunfranu near Zabrama in the Pru West District by seven gun welded armed men on the 9th July, 2021 around 1am.

According to the victims’ statement, the suspects sent him into the bush and tied him into a tree near Akokoa Community in the Atebubu Amantin Municipality.

According to him, the Suspects called his family to demand an amount of Ghc2 million before they will set him free.

“But God been so well, the Suspects overslept that night and he managed to escape,” the police said.

The other four suspects managed to escape.
