Do not adjust your watch, but adjust your mind as Radio Link takes you on a journey back in time. A year back in time.
In the month of June, 2020, Radio Link started its operations in the city of Techiman, the Bono East Regional capital. We took up residence at S.Y. Owusu Building on the Agyeiwaa Hotel junction at Ahenbronoso a residential property converted into a radio station. Our 26 members of staff broke loose and created a big buzz all over the capital.

With ace presenters the likes of Kwame Boakye, Clement Asante (Great Dowa), Kofi Asamoah (Pastor Nick), Afia Aboagyewaa, Papa Jay, Nana Ama Ampomah, Radio Link started churning out some of the most exciting programmes ever heard in Techiman and the Bono East at large.

Starting with the Link Agoo AM  Show, we also launched the Link Kasee (News), and there came in the hottest political talk show in the region, Oman Nkommo, then came the Osoro Akwantuo (A Gospel Afternoon programme), later introduced the Full Time Sports, Abrab) (social programme). Before long, new and more exciting programmes were launched with new presenters coming into the frame.

Fast forward a year later and our family has grown. We’ve had our good days and bad days. We’ve lost family along the way. Some moved on to bigger things. But we have also created a formidable team to face in the city and region. We’ve expanded into new media and blazed a trail so bright that others still struggle to follow.

1 year on, we’re still standing strong and still LINKING different people with diverse minds.

Talking to Pastor George Korsah, the Managing Director of Radio Link as part of the One year anniversary, he revealed that, the launching of the Radio initially should have been in a grand style but was suspended as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak.

He said although the initial plan of launching backfired but in all management is grateful to God for his kindness to Radio Link.

“I believe Radio Link has impacted so many lives and management is working hard to make more improvement to impact more lives”

Commenting on schedule activities of the anniversary, Pastor George Korsah said the actual celebration of the anniversary will begin on Monday, June 7th, 2021.

“There is going to great activities including clean-up exercise, planting of trees, quiz and other huge projects to impact live.”

He admitted there have been challenges since there is nothing in this world without lapses but said the management is working hard for the betterment of Radio Link.

He finally counts on the support of the audience to impact many lives.
