The Techiman North District Chief Executive, Peter Mensah has received an honorary award as “Outstanding DCE” of the year in the Bono East Region.
The event which took place at Tuobodom, the District capital was organised by the Ambassadors for Peace and Justice Foundation Ghana to honour appointees of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government for dedicated services and impact on society.
The President for the Ambassadors for Peace and Justice Foundation Ghana, Mohammed Bashiru Tijani at the event said, “Rewards are forms of encouragement but is the one thing that Ghanaians don’t practice for the living, but only for the dead.”
According to the President of the foundation, their criterial based for the selection of the best District in the region include; personal relationship between the people and the DCE, Developmental project in the district, personal attitudes in which 4 district were selected thus; Atebubu, Nkoranza South, Techiman Municipality and out of which Techiman North was selected as best district.
He explained further that, there was a chieftaincy dispute in the year 2017 of which the DCE has amicably resolved it and also the district has been recognised as the developed industrial area and creating employments for the people.
Speaking in an interview with the Radio Link News, Peter Mensah dedicated the award to His Excellency, President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for the confidence reposed in him and allowing him to serve others.
He said the award would serve as motivation and a constant reminder for him to continue to serve the people of Techiman North and Ghana as a whole to the best of his ability and capacity.
Noting that the development brought in the district by the able leadership of the President has made him the man for the award. He however dedicated the award to the staff and all the securities agencies and the media in the region.
