The Member of Parliament (MP) for Techiman South, Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah has expressed his readiness to serve the President and the good people of Ghana.
Hon. Korsah is one of the 39 persons nominated by the President, Nana Addo Akufo-Addo, to serve as deputy ministers in his second term.
The Deputy Minister-designate for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, in an interview with Link News welcomed the decision by the President to nominate him for that portfolio.
According to him, it was an honour and a huge task imposed on him by President Akufo-Addo and assured his readiness to serve.
“The foundation of the country’s democracy is Local Government. The local governance structure is the backbone or the strength of every strong government. Looking at the inclusion of the Decentralization to the Ministry, it’s more or less like five different ministries put together to form the local government ministry making it one of the difficult ministry to be,” he revealed.
He, was however optimistic of excelling in that ministry.
“We can only seek for God’s guidance and strength to honor the trust bestowed upon me and the people of Techiman by the President to serve the nation. As it was down previously, we are ready to serve, ready to work.”
The former Deputy Minister for Regional Re-Organization and Development which saw the creation of the six new regions in the first term of the Akufo-Addo administration joins Pru West MP, Hon. Stephen Jalulah as the two deputy ministerial nominees from the Bono East Region.
