The Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Mampong and 2014 flagbearer aspirant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon Francis Addai-Nimoh has said the NPP is bigger than any individual and therefore has the ability to break the eight year cycle.
According to the Former Mampong MP, the breaking of the eight year cycle is a collective responsibility of the entire party and not only an individual(s).
“To break the eight, it has to take an extraordinary effort. And the extraordinary effort comes with love and unity among members (both top and down).”
He said this in an exclusive interview with the host of Oman Nkommo, Kwame Boakye [KB], on Radio Link, a Techiman-based radio.
“I am not thinking of a personality, I am thinking of the party’s ability to break the eight and by doing so, that will be a record we will achieve. As the first party in this fourth republic to run a third term government.”
He noted that, leadership of the NPP should take into consideration the grassroots if truly they want to break the eight year cycle. “There must be a strong revival, rejuvenation across board so that members will know the need and importance of breaking the eight.”
“So, we have to work hard to break the eight years cycle in 2024. Let us work hard, it’s possible”, he added.
