The Techiman North District Chief Executive [DCE] Mr. Peter Mensah has lauded President Akufo-Addo for elevating the face of the district capital Tuobodom to match the standard of an European country.
According to the DCE, the district capital years ago was described as ‘chalet’ with no sign of growth or development but with the better policies of this the NPP government since taking mantle, the district has been prominent and can now boast of many infrastructural developments.
He made these pronouncement when President Nana Akufo-Addo visited the district as part of his 2-day working visit to cut-sod for the construction of roads in the district.
Highlighting some of the projects done by the Nana Addo led administration, Mr. Mensah mentioned the construction of a 400-bed dormitory and 6-unit classroom block for Tuobodom Senior High and Technical School. 2km Electrification project extension, motor bikes and cars been delivered to the district education unit, health and the police directorate to boost their operations.
“On behalf of the Chiefs and people in my district, I will say we are all but grateful to the president for the creation of the Bono East Region and selecting the best person to steer the affairs of the region.”
He added, the people of Tuobodom will continue to support government’s intervention with the hope that he will not deny them their share of the national cake.
