The Paramount Chief of Techiman Traditional Area Oseadeyo Akumfi Ameyaw IV has called on the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo to help beef up security in the Bono East regional capital.
According to Oseadeyo Akumfi Ameyaw IV, the increasing population in the region as a result of the creation of the new region has also necessitated the increase in security in the town.
“Though the population of Techiman was high back then, the elevation of the town to a regional capital has further increased the numbers.”
Oseadeyo Akumfi Ameyaw IV said this when President Akufo-Addo paid a courtesy call on him at the Ohene Ameyaw palace Wednesday, September 9.
He extended the opportunity to commend the president for his various policies. He further called for team work between the Traditional Council and the government to continue the developmental projects in the town.
Oseadeyo Akumfi Ameyaw IV charged the NPP leadership to start grooming some of the youth to take the good steps of some front-runners in the region and Ghana at large.
He disclosed a land has been allocated for the construction of the office of the Regional House of Chiefs appealing to the president for the fast-track the construction.
Additionally, he charged the people of Techiman to support the unity and developmental course of the NPP in order to see more of their projects.
