Customers of DKM Microfinance who have their monies locked up will by the end of this month, September ending have all their monies fully paid. “No single DKM claimer will be left, we are paying them all, President Akufo-Addo stated.
In a radio Link interview on Wednesday, September 9, President Akufo-Addo said he inherited the DKM saga from the previous government. “The Former President started the paying some of the defunct customers but couldn’t pay them all.” A lot from the remaining has also been paid under my administration.
But I can confidently say that by the end of this month September, we will clear all the remaining of the claimants, he assured. “283 million are claims that are left to be paid.” And virtually the money is there, and is been released and is currently been paid.
“Not a single claimant will be there, we are paying all of them.” We’ve all seen the results and progress made so far by this government. I want to finish with this whole DKM saga and be done with it entirely. Payments are currently on going through Ghana Commercial Banks in Sunyani, Bolgatanta and Wa.
I repeat “no single claimant will be left by end of September this month.”
He has however caution Ghanaians to always verify the authenticity of financial institutions before depositing their monies. Adding that most of these financial institutions were not licensed under the structures of Bank of Ghana while operating illegally hence government finding it difficult to pay customers who have their monies locked up these financial institutions.
